Specialized divisions designed to serve entrepreneurs better

NBSSI is dedicated to serving Ghana’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector the best way possible. Our work is divided into four (4) core departments:

Entrepreneurship Development Department

The Department’s role is mainly to develop the human resource, the structures and systems for enhancing access of MSEs to high quality business development services which promote their growth and competitiveness.

Women Entrepreneurship Development Department

The Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Department (WEDD) was established in recognition of the vital roles women play in the MSEs Sector and the need for NBSSI to tailor its support services towards meeting the peculiar needs of women.  

Credit Department

The Department sees to the increase of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) income through improved access to effective, efficient and innovative credit scheme and relevant Business Development and Financial Services for the creation, growth and competiveness of MSMEs in Ghana.

Policy Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation

The Department undertakes policy initiatives and programs aimed at improving the operating environment of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ghana. It also monitors and evaluates activities implemented by the Board to ensure that they are conducted to achieve set objectives.
